De-Mornae Clarke, 18, spoke to us about how netball has improved her social life and helped relieve stress.
After playing netball for 7 years and reaching regional tournaments, De-Mornae has urged other students to get involved in sport.
She joined the African Caribbean Society netball team at Leeds Beckett, claiming netball has “improved team player skills” and has been “one of the best and happiest times of my life”. There are many sporting opportunities at Leeds Beckett and competition can offer relief from stress that students are under.
She says that netball has given her many advantages: confidence, a wider social life, health benefits and stress relief, just to name a few, and others should also get involved.
